The S 2.5x50 WML night vision scope represents the latest development of 1st generation night vision technology. Many American vendors of night vision call this Gen1+. This scope is manufactured in limited quantities to the highest standards and each scope undergoes full electrical and mechanical bench testing before leaving the factory. The main design features of the scope are:
-
Large 50mm dia, fast 85F1.7 multi coated objective lens to gather maximum light and provide maximum depth of field.
-
Highest quality and resolution image intensifier tube with 1,000 times light amplification.
-
All steel lightweight high strength casing.
-
Illuminated red on green mil-dot reticle with variable brightness.
-
Built in powerful 20mW actual light output LED infra red illuminator.
-
LED operation indicators for 'power' and 'ir'.
-
Electrostatic protection of the image intensifier tube.
-
Silent power supply.

The sight is supplied with a weaver rail base including screws to mount to your rifle, a rubber objective lens cover with pinhole for daylight use, a textile cover that can be fitted to the scope while mounted on your rifle and conplete instructions.
The range capabilities of the scope under the worst conditions (no moon or starlight, less than 0.05 Lux) are as follows:
Rabbit detection range 175m (reflection of IR illumination against rabbit's eye)
Rabbit recognition range 40m (able to define outline of rabbit's shape)
Rabbit detailed recognition range 30m (able to define features to enable accurate shot placement)
Under higher light levels (1/4 moon or starlight) the above ranges are considerably increased. Alternatively a higher powered infra red light source can be used to increase range. Please see details below for optional laser infra red illuminator.
